JUST BECAUSE IT'S WEDNESDAY DOESN'T MEAN WE CAN'T DO SOMETHING, GO SOMEWHERE!
CATCHUP AND I (POCKETS) TOOK THE DAY OFF TO RIDE UP TO SAN FRANCISCO AND SEE THE GIANTS/PADRES GAME.
THE WEATHER WAS BEAUTIFUL, AND SINCE WE LEFT SAN JOSE AROUND 10am THERE WASN'T REALLY MUCH TRAFFIC. THE GAME WASN'T GOING OUR WAY, SO WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME PEOPLE WATCHING. IT'S AMAZING HOW MANY GIRLS WEAR THONGS, OR NOTHING AT ALL THEN SIT ON THE BLEACHERS WITH THEIR SHIRT UP AND THEIR ASS CRACK OUT FOR EVERYONE TO SEE! IT WAS EVEN FUNNIER AFTER I DRANK MY CAPT. MORGAN, LOL.
AFTER THE GAME WE RODE OVER TO THE MISSION AND A RESTARAUNT CALLED NICARAGUA (GUESS WHAT KIND OF FOOD THEY SERVE?) CATCHUP'S FAVORITE RESTARAUNT IN THE CITY. WE ORDERED DINNER TO GO FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. THE FUN PART WAS FIGURING OUT HOW TO STRAP IT TO THE BIKE FOR THE RIDE HOME AND THE LEAST DAMAGE.
WE DECIDED TO TAKE 680 HOME IN HOPES OF AVOIDING SOME OF THE COMMUTE TRAFFIC. IT WAS ALL GOOD UNTILL WE HIT MENLO PARK, THEN THINGS SLOWED TO A CRAWL. WE WERE CONTEMPLATING SPLITTING LANES WHEN MOTORCYCLE CHP WHIZZED BY BETWEEN THE LANES. "FOLLOW HIM" I HEARD CATCHUP YELL, AND WE DID. YOU FIGURE IF THE CAGES SEE HIM COMING THEY WILL MOVE OVER. WE WERE ABLE TO SPLIT LANES ALL THE WAY TO CARPOOL LANE FREEDOM!
BOTH OF US AND OUR DINNER MADE IT HOME SAFELY
