SATURDAY ~~~~~~
I WAS AFRAID SATURDAY WAS GOING TO BE TOO HOT. IT WAS WARM, BUT IT WAS TOLERABLE :-)
WE HAD A GREAT GROUP GOING TO THE ISLAND BROTHERS MC LUAU AT MOUNTAIN HOUSE BAR IN TRACY.
SUGAR, MIKKI, UC, GLENN (FROM BAS), CINDY, LORRAINE, AND HILDA ALL SHOWED UP AT CASA ROCKETS FOR THE RIDE.
WHEN SUGAR, MIKKI, CINDY, LORRAINE, AND HILDA RODE UP THEY HAD SOME FUNKY TECHNO MUSIC BLASTING AND FOR A MUNTE I THOUGH WE WERE BEING JOINED BY DYKES ON BIKES, LOL! SUGAR YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT :-)
IT WAS BEFORE 11 AM, BUT NO JACKET WAS NEEDED ON THIS RIDE. EXCEPT FOR THE USUAL A-HOLES TRYING TO CUT US OFF AND RUN US OFF OF THE ROAD, THE RIDE OVER WAS A GOOD ONE.
AFTER SOMEONE RAN TO THE PORTA-POTTY AND THE OTHERS FINISHED PRIMPING WE WERE FINALLY READY TO MAKE OUR ENTRANCE.
WE WERE GREETED BY SOME OF THE ISLAND BROTHERS AND GIVIEN PUCA SHELL NECKLACES AS WE ENTERED THE GATE.
IT WAS A NICE EVENT, THERE WAS VENDORS, A COUPLE OF TATTOO ARTISTS, A GREAT BAND, LOTS OF TABLES SET UP FOR SITTING TO EAT, AND MIST THINGS TO KEEP YOU FROM OVERHEATING. OUR FIST STOP WAS THE BAR (OF COURSE) TO QUENCH OUR THIRST. THEN WE HEADED DOWN TO THE LOWER LEVEL TO GET SOME FOOD AND WATCH THE BAND.
WE SAT AT A TABLE WITH OUR ROAD SISTERS THE SHE DEVILS MC. THE FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD, SHREDDED PORK, CHICKEN, RICE, AND MORE. WE ATE AND THEN RELAXED IN THE SHADE LISTENING TO THE MUSIC. YOU KNOW THAT SOME OF THE GIRLS COULDN'T SIT STILL FOR LONG. PRETTY SOON A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WERE DANCING.
AFTER A WHILE THEY BROUGHT OUT THE REAL DANCERS. A GROUP OF MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN THAT PERFORM HAWAIIAN AND TAHITIAN DANCES. THEY WERE AWESOME, AND THE DANCES WERE BEAUTIFUL. ONE OF THE GIRLS WAS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD, AND SHE WAS NOT SHY AT ALL!
WE WALKED AROUND AN SOCIALIZED WITH PEOPLE, ALMOST GOT INTO A RUMBLE (YOU'LL HAVE TO ASK ME FOR THE DETAILS ON THAT ONE) LOL, AND CHECKED THE RAFFLE BOARD. YES, OF COURSE, I WON A RAFFLE PRIZE!
WHILE ANNOUNCING THE DOOR PRIZES, HAROLD GAVE THE VIXENS A GREAT SHOUT OUT! THANKS HAROLD, WE LOVE YOU GUYS ;-)
BY NOW IT'S ABOUT 5pm AND WE HAD BEEN THERE ALL DAY! THE GROUP WAS HEADED IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS:
SUGAR AND MIKKI BACK TO NEWMAN, UC AND HER MAN TO THE SOUL BROTHERS PARTY IN ELK GROVE, CINDY AND LORRAINE BACK TO PATTERSON, HILDA BACK TO HOLLISTER, AND GLENN & I BACK TO SAN JOSE.
WE THANKED OUR HOSTS, SAID OUR GOODBYE'S, AND ROAD OFF INTO HEAT! GLENN AND I WERE TRAVELING ON THE 580 WHEN WE CAME UP ON A PINK CADILLAC, AND WHO DO YOU THINK WAS DRIVING IT???
ELVIS OF COURSE, IN A FULL ON WHITE JUMPSUIT, WITH A MICROPHONE IN HIS HAND!!! I WISH I COULD HAVE GOT A PICTURE OF THAT!
EVERYONE MADE IT HOME SAFELY, I HEARD THE SOUL BROTHERS PARTY WAS OFF THE HOOK. I'M NOT SURPRISED THEY ALWAYS ARE :-)
SUNDAY~~~~~~~~~~
SUNDAY WAS A KICK BACK DAY. NO RUSH TO GO ANYWHERE OR DO ANYTHING. BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I STAYED HOME :-)
CATCHUP AND DESIGN MAN MET ME AT CASA ROCKETS AND WE TOO A LEISURELY PUTT UP TO SAN FRANCISCO. THE HOOD RATS CAR CLUB WAS HAVING A CAR/BIKE SHOW AND SWAP MEET. IT WAS ADVERTISED AS $5 A CAR LOAD TO GET IN, BUT WE DIDN'T GET CHARGED WHEN WE GOT THERE. I'M GUESSING IT'S BECAUSE WE WERE ON BIKES.
IT HAD STARTED AT 5am AND WAS SUPPOSED TO GO UNTIL 3pm, BUT WHEN WE GOT THERE AROUND 11:45am SOME PEOPLE WERE ALREADY PACKING UP TO GO. IT WASN'T A HUGE DEAL, BUT IS WAS COOL. THERE WERE SOME NICE CARS AND BIKES TO LOOK AT AND A LOT OF PARTS FOR SALE. I WAS SURPRISED AT THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE SELLING MOTORCYCLE PARTS. I DIDN'T FIND THE ELUSIVE LUGGAGE RACK I NEED, BUT DESIGN MAN FOUND SOME COOL FOOT PEGS. WE ALSO ME SEVERAL NICE DOGS.
AFTER DOING A LAP AROUND THE SWAP MEET WE HEADED BACK TO SAN JOSE. WE TOOK THE SCENIC (280) ROUTE HOME.
WE GOT OFF OF THE FREEWAY AT KING RD. AND WENT TO A TAQUERIA FOR LUNCH, IT WAS MMM MMM GOOD!
WE THEN RODE BACK TO OUR HOUSES AND I TOOK A NAP ;-)
NOW THAT'S A GOOD DAY!!!
