TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME 06/10/10

ON TUESDAY NIGHT CATCHUP AND I RODE UP TO OAKLAND TO ATTEND THE A'S/ANGEL'S GAME.
BEFORE I TELL THE STORY LET ME CLARIFY WE ARE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS FANS FIRST AND FOREMOST!!!
SO HOW DID WE END UP GOING TO THE A'S GAME? WELL IT STARTED A WEEK BEFORE THE GAME WAS SCHEDULED. THE SO-CALLED WEATHERMAN WAS SHOWING THE 7 DAY FORECAST AND IT CALLED FOR TEMPEATURES IN THE UPPER 80'S ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY.
I HAD ALREADY BEEN TOLD THAT THE A'S WERE OFFERING FREE PARKING ON TUES NIGHT GAMES THROUGH THE SEASON, SO I THOUGHT WHAT A PERFECT TIME TO RIDE TO A GAME. WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY THE PER BIKE PARKING FEES AND THE WEATHER WILL PERFECT FOR A NIGHT RIDE!
THE DEAL WAS SEALED WHEN I RECIEVED MY WEEKLY EMAIL FROM GOLDSTAR, AND THEY WERE OFFERING FIELD LEVEL SEATS TO THAT GAME FOR $10!

WHAT, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT GOLDSTAR IS???
GOLDSTAR IS A WEBSITE WERE THEY SELL TICKETS TO EVENTS THAT ARE NOT SOLD OUT AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE. THEY HAVE ALL KINDS OF EVENTS, BASEBALL GAMES, FOOTBALL GAMES, THEATER, COMEDY CLUBS, CONCERTS, ETC...
YOU SHOULD REALLY CHECK IT OUT AND SING UP FOR THE WEEKLY NOTIFICATION OF WHAT'S AVAILABLE. https://www.goldstar.com/

SO FAST FORWARD TO TUES 06/08 AND THE WEATHER FORECAST HAS CHANGED TO ONLY LOS 70'S INLAND, COOLER BY THE COAST. WHEN HAS A LITTLE COLD EVER STOPPED US?
AFTER WORK WE JUMPED ON SANCHO AND FREEWAY BITCH AND HEADED FOR OAKTOWN. IT WAS A BIT WINDY AND THERE WAS TRAFFIC AS USUAL, BUT IT WASN'T ANYTHING A LITTLE LANE SPLITTING COULDN'T FIX.
WE ARRIVED AT THE COLISEUM AND WERE WAVED ALL THE WAY TO THE FRONT BY THE PARKING STAFF. IN OAKLAND MOTORCYCLES PARK EVEN CLOSER THEN THE HANDI-CAP.
WE PICKED UP OUR TIX AT WILL CALL, SEC 107 RW 21, NICE!
WE HID OUR KNIVES IN OUR BRAS AND HEADED INTO THE STADIUM. WE PICKED UP SOME FOOD AND DRINKS ON THE WAY TO OUR SEATS, THEN SETTLED IN TO WATCH THE GAME.
IT WAS COLD! EVEN THE GUY GOING AROUND SELLING HOT CHOCOLATE WAS YELLING "ICE COLD HOT CHOCOLATE FOR SALE"
THE GAME WAS GOOD, EVERYTHING GOING THE A'S WAY.
IT WAS THE END OF THE 7TH INNING AND THE A'S WERE UP 6-1 SO WE DECIDED TO HEAD HOME. IT WAS REALLY COLD, AND WE BOTH HAD TO GET UP EARLY THE NEXT DAY FOR WORK.
WE WENT OUT TO SADDLE UP AND SOMEONE REMINDED ME THAT SHE NEEDED GAS. WE JUMPED ON THE 880 FOR 1 EXIT AND GOT OFF TO GAS UP. AFTER WE GASSED UP SOMEONE GOT TO MAKE HER FIRST U-TURN ON THE STREET GLIDE, SO WE COULD GET BACK ON THE FREEWAY. NOT A PROBLEM, SHE MADE IT LOOK EASY.
THE RIDE HOME WAS QUICK, AND SURPRISINGLY COMFORTABLE. IT WAS NOT COLD AT ALL. THE COLISEUM MUST HAVE AIR CONDITIONING???
I THINK WE MIGHT DO IT AGAIN SOON :)
